My name is Likhith Doddi and I am currently a freshman at the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). My major will be computer science with a minor in business management. I chose that particular combination for a reason. I have always had a keen interest in computers ever since my family got its first PC back in 2006. Since then I have developed my knowledge regarding how systems work, especially in regards to software. As much as I think that the field of computer science and software are perfect, there seems to be one small downside. What I mean is that it is sometimes difficult to progress within a software company to play a more managerial role. Don’t get me wrong, programing is the core of any software company but the management side plays a great role on how that information is used. This is why I hope to start off as a programmer and work my way up the business chain and maybe even become a CEO of a company one day. Yeah, I might be reaching there.
Besides my future goals, one important thing about me is my passion for photography. I have experience taking pictures in DSLR’s, point and shoot cameras and even film cameras sometimes. However lately, I have been using my iPhone to capture some of my best shots yet. Check out my collection in the My Gallery section.
Currently working as an Event Planning/Social Media lead for the robotics club. Daily tasks include but not limited to interacting with e-board members and other clubs to come up with exciting events for the students.
I was the Senior Class President of my high school. Some of my accomplishments include spearheading the Senior Trip, which was a 300 person event to a Six Flags amusement park. This made me a primarily liaison with the Board of Education, especially the superintendent.
I was the Secretary of the Junior Class and was responsible for planning our Prom. This was a 500 person event that required a lot of time and energy in order to make it a successful event, which it was.
I was the Secretary of the Sophomore Class and came up with a new event for sophomores only called “Sophomore Night”. This was a fun social event where we offered many activities that the students ended up enjoying.
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in business management. Looking forward to completing everything by 2020.
Graduated with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation. Ended up with a 4.0 GPA and in the top 5% of the graduating class.
Finished middle school within the top 5% of the class and ended up sharing an award for the best overall student with a fellow friend.
